Labor Day Quilting

Standard

Finished the dragonfly quilt.  I think the small stipple on the sashing came out fabulous.  Pictures should be uploaded today.  In the meantime, I have loaded a batik earthtone carpenters star quilt for a customer on the frame.

Saturday, I spent the day piecing a Beveled Block quilt top from the fabrics I recently bought on the Albuquerque Quilt Stroll in August.   The directions called for 12 medium tone fat quarters and 12 dark tone fat quarters to make a 20 block (12 inch finished square) quilt top measuring 48 X 60.  I was able to get 36 blocks out of the fabric so my quilt top will by 72 X 72.  And there was enough scraps left over to make a scrappy binding.  I WILL be rewriting the directions.
