I had a fabulous run on the first of the two part Quilted Slipper class. I also did my free motion embroidery class. Just seeing my sample made me want to sit at the machine and do some thread painting. One of the hardest aspects of quilting is that there just isn’t enough time for everything.
For those of you who have seen my sample paper pieced quilt top, Painted Desert, you need to see the new paper pieced border that has been added to the outside of the quilt. I have written directions for blocks on point to add to this months class. The Painted Desert is a straight orientation but I am planning to make my next quilt as a diagonal orientation. The directions for the paper pieced border will be covered in the August class. I can’t wait to quilt this quilt.
