I just uploaded the pictures for the Bright Stars with a Scrappy Back. The quilt was a Beginners Block of the Month that I taught in 2007. The student loves bold and bright colors and the top is pieced in teal, royal blue, lime green, bright orange and vibrant red. The quilting pattern is an all over with circles and spikes, perfect for the angular stars on the front. The color of the thread is Highlighter Orange, and it is BRIGHT! She wanted extra loft so we used two layers of poly batting and that totally accents the quilting. The back of the quilt is scrappy, done in 2 1/2 inch squares. The quilting and thread color really stand out. She was thrilled that her first quilt is finished and not in the unfinished pile!
