This beautiful sampler quilt was pieced by my mentor and friend.  The quilting is custom designed for each block.  The thread is a variegated in the colors of the border fabric.  The sashing has a small stipple stitch and the border has a six-inch swag that circles the quilt.  The light batik backing shows the quilting and the darker purple batik is the perfect accent for a binding.
