Triple Technique Cinder Memorial Quilt

This is the quilt that I designed and made as a memorial quilt to our beloved black labrador retriever.  It became the inspiration for a new class; Triple Technique.  The quilt utilized strip piecing, machine applique and paper piecing.  I also used machine embroidery for the center memorial block.  The feature blocks can be done with either applique or embroidery making this pattern very versatile.  The quilting is custom with a variegated brown thread to outline the chain blocks and the dogs.  The background quilting on the green fabric is vertical and simulates grass.  The flying geese in the border were outlined with black thread.
