Sometimes it is difficult to make a quilt for a boy that isn’t cutsie.  This quilt is a perfect example of a rough and tumble boy quilt made with John Deere Tractor printed fabrics.  The backing is a brown plaid; again a great masculine choice.  The stitching is simple and not frivolous with variegated brown cotton thread in a large stipple pattern.  I can just see a toddler boy in his faded denim overalls dragging this quilt with him where ever he goes.
