The was a combination panel and pieced quilt done by my client for her son who is quite an outdoorsman.  I love the middle border which is pieced using the Bear’s Paw pattern.  To me it looks like falling leaves around the center mediallion.  The top is quilted with monofilament in an all over spikey design to mimic the falling leaves.  The back is quilted with a variegated cotton thread in dark gold, brown and charcoal.  Can you just see this quilt in a log cabin in the woods?  I can.
