Once upon a time there was a fairy quilt!  This was brought to me by a client, she loved the panel and wanted to maintain the printed fairytale land.  She asked me to outline the castles, dragons, princesses, trails, bridges, fairy godmothers, etc.  It took hours of painstaking work.  What I needed was a magic wand!   The border was done with a swag pattern and went much quicker than the interior of the quilt.  When it was finished I was very pleased and really did like the effect of the fairytale land looking three dimensional.  The customer was ecstatic and couldn’t wait to give it to her granddaughter.   And so, we all lived happily ever after.
