I did both of these quilts back to back for a charming grandmother.  She is gifting the quilts to her granddaughters.  It was fun to see the personalities of the granddaughters come out through the quilts.  The bold colored quilt top was quilted with a vibrant jewel colored thread in an edge to edge design named “Blooming Stars” while the soft pastel colored quilt top was quilted in a gentle pink with Daisies and Hearts.  The backing fabric for the bold quilt was the feature fabric on a black background while the backing for the pastel quilt was the same feature fabric on a white background.  Two quilts so similar but so very different; much like the granddaughters, I am sure.
