Ideal Update

Standard

I have been home from AQS Phoenix for about a week but I had to go to warp drive since I got back to prepare for my classes this month.    On Saturday I taught Lines in Longarm Quilting to my Southwest Longarm Group.  It was full of laughter, learning and lots of Sew N Tell.   I followed it up with my block of the month, Book N Block.  I can’t believe that next month is our last month.  We have read about 15 novels and completed 22 blocks so far.   Sunday, I booked a repeat of the coloring class from last November and filled the classroom.  Now I am preparing for my Advanced Binding class that I will be teaching this upcoming weekend.  After blogging this morning, I will be back at the sewing machine making class samples.

If you are interested in any my upcoming classes, please email me at Ideal.Stitches@comcast.net   I have a Quilted Purse class in March, Quilt As You Go in April and a Block of the Month with a Twist coming in May.  This summer I will bring back a Scrappy Class, this one will be made with 2 1/2 inch strips.

I do finish everything that I have to do for classes so its the best way to complete my UFO’s.   Some of the quilts you see featured in my classes are ones that I have had on my wish list to do.   I know Quilters can get buried in UFO’s so I try to motivate my students to persevere and complete their class projects.  In my Block of the Month class we start out with Show N Tell of the previous month’s class block and home fun block.  Everyone that bring both completed to class gets a door prize.

You ask what a home fun block is?  Well, I give the directions for a simpler block to be done at  home during the month.  It is not homework because sewing is fun!  So it is a home fun block.

So come and join the fun and take a class with Ideal Stitches.
