Hunter’s Star is a traditional pattern that is making a comeback.  Here is is done with solid looking batiks and the result is stunning.   We pulled the purple-magenta color from the backing when choosing the thread.  The quilting pattern repeats the star theme and shows well in the outer border.  I had to share the back as the quiltmaker pieced “Seattle”.  The quilt is destined for a good friend from that area and now all their memories are stitched into the back.
