Can you just see the sunrise in this quilt? Every time I look at this quilt, it makes me think of the country because of the reproduction fabrics from the 1930’s flour sacks and how it reminds me of a home with a barn and a garden. There is a lot of fabulous quilting on this project that goes un-noticed because of how busy the prints are in the rail blocks, including the day break quilting pattern across the background which was the inspiration for the border quilting in red and yellow variegated thread giving it a folk art look. The more I quilted this project, the more I loved it!
