It’s all fun and games until the check spring breaks.  Forget breaking a needle and having it fly at your face, you haven’t jumped until you are free motion quilting and get hit on your check by flying debris.  No warning just pop!

So instead of finishing the custom quilt that I had been working on the last 6 days, I was rebuilding my tension unit, replacing the check spring, and realigning my thread break sensor.  All in a day’s work, by evening I had my Innova running like a dream with perfect tension.   I know my boss and ABM dealer Ryan could have fixed in minutes compared to my hours, but I am proud to have done it myself!

I can’t wait to get back on the frame and finish this quilt!
