When I first received this quilt, I was asked to just do an all over or a meander.  Oh no, this quilt begged to be custom quilted.  Thank goodness my client agreed.   I found a motif to use in the red stars and then digitized a star with a matching motif to put in the white blocks.  If you notice on the back, I used red thread and white thread in the bobbin to match the blocks and thread from the top.   The borders were done with free motion quilting in a leaf pattern and a feather pattern.  The quilt is truly spectacular.
