This was difficult to give back as my favorite color is burgundy and this quilt just spoke to my color palette.  I went through a phase about 15 years ago that every quilt I made was burgundy and emerald green and I had to intentionally break out of it.  As I worked on this quilt, I remembered how comforting it is to work on a burgundy quilt.

This is a wonderful gift of love from a mother to her adult son in the military.   He helped pick the fabrics and the quilting design.  I love the way the cream thread just pops on the back for a look that makes the quilt reversible.   I do have to admit, I am glad that I got the opportunity to work on this project AND send it to its new home.
