Zig Zag

Instead of a zig zag, I see hanging ringlets.  This inspired my spiral quilting pattern.     OR is it the spiral quilting pattern that gives you the illusion of ringlets?  What do you see?  It’s amazing that such a simple block repeated over and over can create this optical illusion,
