This quilt brought back memories of growing up near the railroad tracks and hearing the trains every day. The trains that are printed on the fabric are more classic than juvenile and I wanted the quilting to match. I searched everywhere for a rail road pattern that didn’t look like I was putting it on a baby quilt to no avail. I liked the argyle appearance of this diagonal pattern that breaks up the blocky look to the front and horizontal look to the back of the quilt. I will keep the more child like train patterns for a more appropriate quilt. This was a surprise gift for a model train husband.
