Sunshine Quilt (back)

Sunshine Quilt (front)
This quilt spread rays of sunshine in so many ways. The top was put together from left over 2 and 1/2 inch strips, mostly bindings. The sunshine in the piecing came from sharing this technique with my dear friend and sewing buddy, Kay. The purpose of the quilt was to make a warm bright cuddly quilt for a dear friend battling brain cancer to brighten and warm the days she received treatments. The backing is a fuzzy yellow snuggles fabric that showcased the sunshine quilting pattern. I also used a thick yellow thread on the front so the quilting would stand out. Most of all, the entire process brought sunshine to me.
