Recently I did a commissioned neck tie quilt with a medallion front and strip pieced back (see below)  There was enough of the backing left over to make another quilt.  The customer was thrilled to have a coordinating quilt to give her daughter to remind her of the ties her father wore.

I used the same red border fabric and brought it to the back and the same quilting design. The coordinating quilt finished at a lap size, perfect for cuddling.
