I have been seeing more and more hand embroidery projects come into my studio to be quilted.  This customer is taking all the blocks that were hand embroidered by her mother and piecing them into a quilt using all her moms fabrics to make the scrappy sashing.  The pink borders are just the right touch!  At first she just said do a quick and simple all over but I couldn’t just let the quilting drive right over the embroidery and begged her to let me do custom quilting on it.   The results are well worth it.  When she saw the finished quilt for the first time, she cried and thanked me profusely.
