This quilt has a southwest flair with its geometric border and color scheme.  Every block except the center applique gecko block is pieced and so I masked out the center block before I quilted an very southwest edge to edge design.  Then I came back and outlined the geckos and did a free motion fill.  It turned out phenomenal!
