Wolf in the Woods (close up)

This realistic panel is bordered with piecework and I was challenged to pull it all together.  I did a wood grain pattern in all the borders to frame the panel and then set to doing thread painting in the panel.  I probably used at least eight different colored threads to do the sketch work.  The effect gave the panel dimension and brought the wolf to life.
