When I saw this quilt top, I envisioned rays.  Little did I know that the piecing of the thick vertical stripe and thin horizontal stripes would make this incredibly challenging.  The extra effort paid off and I am very pleased with the border/stripe swirls and the waves in the black border.  The cool factor on this quilt makes it perfect for a young teenage boy.
