This quilt was made from the shirts of a Hawaiian priest, including the plum fabric in the center border and outer border.   I chose a tropical edge to edge and then masked out the center focal block.  I came back and custom quilted the block with outlining, background fill and a feather frame.  It turned out magnificent and became a heart felt retirement gift for this priest in Hawaii.
