Originally this customer had planned to have this quilted with an all over design.  Her friend told her that she could just see this with custom quilting especially in the white areas.  The complex feather design contrasts with the spirals in the blocks and I used spirals and feathers in the border designs.   I agree with the friend, this quilt is magnificent with custom quilting.
