This quilt has the most amazing hand applique work. I wanted to do echo quilting which is very traditional in Hawaiin quilt but first I had to break up the quilt into blocks with hand guided feather sashing. When it left me with set in triangles on the outsides, I ghosted in an outline of one of the applique pieces and echoed it. Now it makes me want a Hawaiian vacation.
