What a fun little strip quilt.  I love the reds, blacks, grays and whites.  I frequently use a contrasting quilting design to the piecing and this loop de loop design gives great diversity.  It also plays off the backing print of pins and buttons as it looks like unwound thread!   Can’t wait to make this one!

This is the second Star Wars quilt and I am thrilled that it looks so incredibly different from the first.  I used a square spiral quilting design that adds diagonal lines to the straight lines of the piecing.  This changes the whole look on the outer space backing.

This is the first of two star wars quilts intended as Christmas presents.  The combination of the pieced checker board and novelty fabric is bright and amazing.  The quilting design is the symbol for the rebel alliance and really looks incredible on the outer space backing.

Christmas is in the air.    I know you see Hawaii but this is the first of my Christmas orders!  This bright quilt has a hydrangea flower design and bright turquoise thread.  It’s always a challenge to quilt a panel and this pattern looks amazing!

This quilt took Ideal Stitches in a whole new direction.  This was a very loved and very warn quilt.  The customer requested that random patches be sewn on with a raw edge applique technique so they could fray.  At first I was a little unsure about the project and how it would look but as I worked on it, I liked it more and more.  Now I love the shabby chic look of the quilt and I think it looks ever better than the whole cloth quilt it was before.

Fantastic stack and whack stars on an exquisite gold background fabric just had to custom quilted.  The stars are outlined and quilted with an eight pointed arc motif.  The smaller stars look three dimensional after they are outlined and the background and border are treated to a stacked swirl design.  While the picture is great, the actual quilt is incredible!
