Here is the second of five antique quilts.  Many of you remember the antique flower quilt that started this series.  I was brought five quilts tops that had been in a cedar chest for years.  The great grandmother had hand pieced the blocks and later the grandmother had machine stitched the blocks in to five tops, only to store them as UFO’s (unfinished objects).  The granddaughter commissioned Ideal Stitches to finish the quilt so that she could give them to her daughters.   I added the mint border and the thin beige border to extend the quilt top and give it a punch of color.  I used an all over feather design to help line up the star and ease in extra fullness.  The result is stunning.
