When this bright little quilt was dropped off, the customer asked me to highlight her applique flowers.   I echoed the flowers and added ghost images of the applique, then filled the background with little meander daisies.  Yellow thread brings out the centers of the flowers and was the perfect choice for the black and white checkerboard.
