When we found out that one of my husband’s high school friends had been diagnosed with cancer, I started this comfort quilt. He is an avid Notre Dame fan and I searched all over the internet for team fabric to no avail. I finally found a set of bed sheets and I was able to use the flat sheet for the back and the fitted sheet for border fabric. Best of all I had pillowcases to wrap this gift in so he could have a quilt to take to treatments.
