I specialize in longarm quilting services, offering both custom and edge-to-edge designs, expert bindings, and beautifully embroidered quilt labels. I am located in Albuquerque, New Mexico and take in quilts nationwide. Ideal Stitches only uses the finest quality products, and this includes my ABM Innova Longarm Quilting Machine complete with Auto Pilot Robotics and Grand Format Embroidery.

Ideal Stitches carries the following batting products from Quilters Dream Batting. Battings are available by the yard cuts from a 96-inch-wide roll.

Christmas orders must be dropped off before Sept 1st and noted as a Christmas Order; Halloween quilts by July 1st and Graduation quilts by February 1st.

Quilting prices are based on the square inch of quilt top and type of quilting selected, starting at 0.030 cents up to 0.12 cents per square inch.  Types of quilting include meander quilting, edge to edge quilting, border to border, masking, custom quilting, and heirloom/show quilting.  Price can vary with the density and complexity of quilt pattern.

Thread is complimentary and includes cottons, polys, solids, variegated, metallic and monofilaments in a variety of thread weights.

• Extra charges are applied for additional preparation work such as pressing, piecing, or squaring up tops, backs, or battings.

• Ideal Stitches carries a wide selection of Quilters Dream Battings for a reasonable price.

• Bindings are charged by the linear inch and include bindings finished by machine or hand.

• Wall Sleeve and Custom Embroidered Quilt Labels are available for an additional cost.

Please note that QUALITY TAKES TIME.  Edge to Edge quilts typically run about 12 weeks for turnaround time. To help shorten your wait time, I encourage you to email me to pre-schedule your quilt. This system has worked beautifully for custom quilting, and I’m now expanding it to include edge-to-edge reservations as well.

Please note: I’m not able to send reminders for quilts that are “on reserve” but not yet at Ideal Stitches. If I don’t have your quilt here by the scheduled time, I’ll simply move ahead to the next one in line.

I am booking custom quilts at one per month, email me to get your quilt scheduled today. If you are ordering a commissioned quilt from start to finish it can take 4 – 6 months.   The charge for an EXPEDITE FEE (to move to the next quilt on the frame) is 50% upcharge on the quilting cost.
