This project started out as an album of pictures taken in Turkey.  Then key elements were drawn out in a collage on a poster board.  The quilt top came to me fused but with out a stitch on it.  I used a technique called Appli-quilt to simutaneously applique the fabrics and quilt through the backing and batting to give detail in thread and create a 3-D look to the scene.   I knew I had done a good job when the quilter cried when she came to pick it up.
